Description

The Studio Place Arts (SPA) facility occupies all three floors of a historic building at 201 North Main Street in Barre, Vermont. SPA contains the Studio Place Arts Gallery, first floor classrooms for art instruction and a printmaking facility, a Student and Community Exhibit space on the second floor, the Third Floor Gallery, and studios rented on a yearly basis by individual artists and art groups.
Basic Directions
  • Get off Interstate 89 at Exit 7
  • Take Route 62 through two sets of lights and move into the left lane.
  • Go through the third light. At the split, bear left, following Route 62 toward Barre and toward Route 302 East.
  • Go down a long hill and through one traffic light. Get in the right lane.
  • At the next traffic light turn right onto Route 302 East.
  • Travel into downtown Barre. Pass the Courthouse on your left, then the Paramount Movie Theater. SPA is on the left in this block (address: 201 North Main Street), three doors beyond the Paramount, and just before Aaron's. It sits back from the street a bit.
  • Free parking for 2 hours is available on Main Street in front of the SPA building.
  • Handicapped parking for SPA is available in the rear of the building, accessed by an alley to the right of the building.
