Ski resorts set the scene for the mountains around the town of Killington in winter, though venture to these parts outside of peak season and find also pleasant hiking trails, well-groomed golf greens and a handful of rural attractions.
The Studio Place Arts (SPA) facility occupies all three floors of a historic building at 201 North Main Street in Barre, Vermont. SPA contains the Studio Place Arts Gallery, first floor classrooms for art instruction and a printmaking facility, a Student and Community Exhibit space on the second floor, the Third Floor Gallery, and studios rented on a yearly basis by individual artists and art groups.

Get off Interstate 89 at Exit 7
Take Route 62 through two sets of lights and move into the left lane.
Go through the third light. At the split, bear left, following Route 62 toward Barre and toward Route 302 East.
Go down a long hill and through one traffic light. Get in the right lane.
At the next traffic light turn right onto Route 302 East.
Travel into downtown Barre. Pass the Courthouse on your left, then the Paramount Movie Theater. SPA is on the left in this block (address: 201 North Main Street), three doors beyond the Paramount, and just before Aaron's. It sits back from the street a bit.
Free parking for 2 hours is available on Main Street in front of the SPA building.
Handicapped parking for SPA is available in the rear of the building, accessed by an alley to the right of the building.
