Set along the edge of Burlington Bay on Lake Champlain, Vermont's largest city, Burlington, is both springboard for water-based activity and pleasant cultural center.
In 1999, Wild Root Arts added to its mission the role of refurbishing and managing the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery in downtown Brattleboro, VT. The theater hosts roughly 90 events per year and the seating capacity is 100 people. On average, our events play to about 70% capacity. We also host gallery openings, as part of Gallery Walk, the first Friday of every month at which we regularly see over 200 people. The Theater & Gallery has served local and visiting artists and arts organizations, local businesses, local social service and community organizations, schools and the Brattleboro region's general population. Through hosting a wide array of performances, visual arts displays, lectures and community events, the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery represents our community's most active and vibrant venue for the arts.
