Historical Museum, with over 3,000 artifacts--furniture, paintings, textiles, tools and objects of everyday life, housed in 30 rooms in the four-story granite dormitory of the first secondary school in Orleans County. Built in 1836 by headmaster Alexander Twilight, and used as a dormitory until 1857 when it became a boarding house. It was purchased by the Orleans County Historical Society in 1917 to save it from being dismantled as railroad bridges. Opened as a museum in 1925.
