Here at the park are the remains fo the Village of West Castleton which include the slate plant site, several historic building, the foundations of a sawmill and other building as well as several gravesites. Trails nearby, boating and fishing in Lake Bomoseen, Hubbardton Battlefield Historic Site, Lake Champlain Ferries, Middlebury Museums, and other attractions within the area.
