The Farms for City Kids program is an 800 acre outdoor classroom where urban children, ages 10-12, spend a week on the farm with their teachers, learning to apply problem solving skills to farm activities such as milking cows, harvesting vegetables and caring for sheep and chickens. Meaningful, challenging and educational experience promotes hands-on learning and lasting values such as self-esteem, respect, regard for others and appreciation of the natural world.
