National forest and wandering waterways come together in Vermont's Green Mountains, a village-dotted region of note for the skiing, paddling, hiking and fly fishing on offer.
I am inspired by ancient Chinese ceramics, traditional Japanese folk pottery and by the North Carolina pottery being made today. I use a blend of traditional methods and techniques with modern technology to aid the process. I love to make my own clay, glazes and tools, as ancient potters would have done. I am a traditionalist, yet have no qualms about using modern equipment to ease the physical burdens required by pottery.
