Description

Killington is the largest ski area in eastern North America.

Killington Peak (4,241 ft, 1293 m) is the main peak at this ski resort. It is the second highest in Vermont and has the second greatest vertical drop in the east (3,050 feet, 930 m) after Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, New York (with 3,430 feet (1,050 m), 1045 m).

Killington resort offers a variety of trails from gentle to expert.

Take I-93 north to just south of Concord, NH. Exit onto I-89 north and follow to U.S. Route 4 / Rutland, exit 1 in Vermont. Follow Route 4 west to Killington.

From Hartford, CT and New York
Take Interstate 91 north to Bellows Falls, VT. Take exit 6 (Rutland) onto VT 103 and follow to VT 100. Take VT 100 north to U.S. Route 4. Follow Route 4 west to Killington.
